Newsletter, September, 2015 The Compact was a big opportunity for Moldova. Its interventions did not confine to one sector only: a road segment of about 100 km was rehabilitated very well and in time. We all know how roads are rehabilitated in Moldova – most of them are patched, and we can see the difference with the road that was renovated with the Compact support. Another major component was rehabilitation of 10 irrigation systems, which has never happened over the past 25 years.

Newsletter,quarter II, 2015 At this point one can definitely claim that the SarateniSoroca road has successfully passed the cold season test. Moreover, according to Hakob Petrosyan, project manager at MCA Moldova, 60% of the renovated road was used two winters

Newsletter, May, 2015 After rehabilitation, things have changed significantly. Those who use this road appreciate what has been done. This is a very important international road that connects the capital town of Moldova with the northern towns and with Ukraine. Before rehabilitation, people used to avoid it. Now they are happy with it and need much less time to get from Chisinau to Ghindesti and even further.

Newsletter, April, 2015 Serghei Grijancovschi, the director of SRL ”Monsterax-GSG” from Cosnita: “I chose to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the Compact to buy equipment through 2KR in instalments. I think this is a great funding mechanism. We pay 25% of the amount and the remaining amount over the next 3 years, while being able to use the equipment immediately after we buy it.”

Newsletter,quarter I, 2015 The Compact has opened many opportunities for the high value producers. This program has left its mark on Moldova due to its large scale projects, more specifically the rehabilitation of the Sarateni-Soroca road and irrigation systems.
